Honda and Toyota of Seattle are looking for an Automotive Lot Attendant - Wash Bay!

WORK HOURS:

  • Sunday: 10am-6pm
  • Monday-Tuesday, Friday-Saturday: 12pm-7pm/Close

All positions may require some weekends and evening hours. Opportunity to advance within the company.

The qualified candidate must be able to drive any vehicle make and model, including manual transmissions. Outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to follow directions and take initiative are a requirement for this position.

This position frequently drives off the lot and must be trusted with both customer and company vehicles. A clean driving record is required and all applicants must be at least 18 to apply.

The primary functions of the position are to make sure that all the cars on the lots are clean and ready to be viewed by customers, you will run errands for the sales department, make sure that the showroom cars are clean, and wash and vacuum vehicles as needed, deliver/trade cars as needed with other dealerships, and general facility maintenance including emptying garbage cans and maintaining the parking lots.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS INCLUDE:

  • While performing the duties to this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and legs at all times.
  • Employee is frequently required to walk and stand.
  • The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.
  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs, and rarely lift and/or move up to 50lbs.

Certified & Expert Automotive Technician (B & C )

B Level Technician - Honda Certification level of Expert or above. Recommend having at least 5+ years of automotive experience through a dealer, or 90% Honda module completion. Able to perform diagnostics and deliver information properly and clearly.

C Level Technician - Honda Certification level of Certified or above. Recommend having at least 3+ years of automotive experience through a dealer, or 75% Honda module completion. Able to perform basic maintenance, brakes, tires, alignments, and fluids.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect vehicle engine and mechanical/electrical components to diagnose issues accurately
  • Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems to repair, maintain and upgrade
  • Conduct routine maintenance work (replacing fluids, lubricating parts etc.) aiming to vehicle functionality and longevity
  • Schedule future maintenance sessions and advise motorists on good vehicle use
  • Repair or replace broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks)
  • Provide accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job
  • Keep logs on work and issues
  • Maintain equipment and tools in good condition

Skills:

  • Valid technician certification, ASE's, and/or 2+ years of automotive technician experience
  • Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
  • Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
  • Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)
  • Willingness to observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals etc.
  • Excellent physical condition
  • High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is preferred

Must have proven AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN experience Valid Driver's License Good work history Drug-free facility Good references Required Experience: Certified or Experienced Automotive Technician.

Shipping & Receiving

Primary Responsibilities:
  • The Shipping and Receiving Clerk ships deliver and receive parts orders.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with co-workers and customers.
  • Communication must be clear and concise.
  • Maintain parts inventory, including stocking shelves, organizing bins, binning new parts, recording the location, conducting perpetual bin audits, and maintaining special order bins.
  • Check-in Daily orders from the manufacturer, incoming freight from UPS, FED-EX, Etc.
  • Process monthly returns to the manufacturer.
  • Work with Wholesale parts representatives in managing incoming and outgoing orders.
  • Maintain a detailed delivery log when handling returns and funds.
  • Assist in Physical Parts Inventory annually.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Immediately notify the parts manager of damaged parts or shortages.
  • Sweep floors and empty trash containers daily, and maintain a clean parts department.
  • Maintain a clean delivery vehicle. Drive cautiously and safely staying within the laws of the road.
  • Be able to stay on task and work independently.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Warehouse or shipping and receiving experience preferred.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, proven communication skills. and excellent attention to detail.
